As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess strong communication, computer and organizational skills.
Candidate must have experience with checking eligibility in multiple insurance portals, collecting copays and deductibles.
The office is extremely fast paced.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner - Answer phone calls and schedule patient appointments - Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays, deductibles and balances - Maintain patient records and update information as needed - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Assist with billing and coding tasks as assigned - Manage office supplies and ensure inventory is stocked - Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow - Utilize electronic medical record systems to input and retrieve patient information - Handle any other administrative tasks as required, room patients to help in the back when needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar setting is preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus - Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and phone systems - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records If you are a dedicated individual with a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a medical setting, we encourage you to apply for the position of Medical Receptionist.
