Vehicle Description P urchased May 30th, 1961, at the Riggs Motor Co of Auburn, New York for a purchase price of $7,133 she became the member of a family who have loved, cherished, lightly driven and most definitely adopted this big bold beauty.
Most recently owned directly by the son of the original purchaser, she's been maintained all her 60 years, and underwent an extensive restoration in 1995 which was completed in 2000 with the new repaint.
She has never been in an accident and took our Owner, back in his high school days, to his senior prom.
During her restoration, the body was perfected with new rear quarters from a donor car and all minor imperfections addressed.
A new coat of glossy black was applied.
Her chrome and brightwork is just about perfect, with very few and very minor blemishes.
All glass is reported has excellent and all exterior light performs as designed.
During her Pre-Purchase Inspection, the trunk failed to operate, thus inhibiting the convertible top's retraction.
It has been addressed and the Owner reports that it now functions perfectly.
Bathed in luxury, the full black leather upholstery is so era 1961 and shows to be in excellent condition.
Loaded with options, her electric windows work perfectly along with the aforementioned top.
An aged challenge, vacuum operation of her controls limits the operation of the heater and cruise.
All gauges properly perform and their bezels and brightwork show amazing.
1961 motors were just simply getting larger, and we are not disappointed in Lincoln pursuing the goal of size with its behemoth 430 cid V8.
Rebuilt during the beginning of the restoration back in 1995, she has low miles and wonderful performance.
All remaining running gear, from the three-speed automatic to the brakes have been maintained and addressed as needed throughout the years of stewardship.
The thorough and exhaustive review of this stunning ride was performed by Lemon Squad.
Both cosmetics and mechanicals were studiously examined, and a grand bill of health was issued.
Just very minor items were noted in the report.
Most challenging was the lack of a complete operation of the top and, as outlined, has been addressed by the Owner, who reports its perfect operation.
